This paper discusses the design and realization of self-tuning control system for an optical fiber drawing process. According to the design objectives of system and dynamic properties of the process, a pole-assignment self-tuning algorithm based on output prediction is presented. The self-tuning control algorithm has been realized on a microcomputer, and the successful application has been achieved. |
