In this paper, a new method for optimal pole assignment is presented from the viewpoint of the LQ inverse problem. The relationships among the weighting matrices Q and R are the open-loop and optimal close-loop characteristic polynomials are derived. Given a set of desired close-loop poles, the weighting matrices Q and R are at once determined corresponding to these poles, and an optimal control system id obtained with prescribed poles. |
