| This paper introduces the concepts of the generalized Routh array and Schwarz form for the matrix polynomials by linear transformation. We extend Leang-San’s and Shailendra’s results and give the transformation matrix from the block companion canonical form of matrix to the generalized Schwarz form. A sufficient condition is derived for determining the stability of matrix polynomials. This result is applied to multivariable control systems. |
