| In this paper, the problem of selecting manipulated variables and measurement variables is discussed in detail. A kind of socalled selection matrix is introduced to describe the selection problem in a general mathematical form. Two kinds of measures are used to provide quantative information for controllability and observability of linear multivariable systems, and effective algorithms have been suggested to search proper variables according to these measures which seem to be advantageouse on calculation burden in comparing with other methods appeared. This selection method can be used in synthesis and analysis of control systems. |
