This paper considers the problem of robust H∞ output feedback controller design for linear time delay systems with polytopic uncertainty. A sufficient condition in terms of quadratic matrix inequalities is obtained, which guarantees the system is quadratically stabilizable with disturbance attenuation in the sense of H∞ norm via a strictly proper dynamic output feedback controller of full order. Such a controller can be constructed from the solutions of quadratic matrix inequalities. It is shown that in some cases the quadratic matrix inequalities can be solved by converting them into linear matrix inequalities with the same variables. |
